Environmental Day with Bucky Smith

Today we went into the craft and science room, where Bucky had some powerpoints prepared and an activity. The powerpoints were about soil, rock and water cycles, etc. The activity was an apple, that was cut up into fractions. The piece that they had left over was a representation of how much soil we have to grow with on Earth.

International: African Masks

Sorry about the lack of pictures for this day everyone! I was closing up the museum this day so I wasn't in with the kids taking pictures like usual. But, I took some the next class of a couple girls who left their masks.

Junior Acheivement (Building A City)

On November 11th, we did a Junior Achievement activity--titled Building A City. The kids looked at blue prints, measured and converted measurements on the scale, built a building and put it in the correct zones.
